WORKING HOURS
8am – 5pm Monday to Friday. Overtime as required by workload.
PURPOSE OF WORK:
Manage and store all documents relating to Bank securities and loans and maintain a database of securities for all business segments, ie corporate and retail.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- a) Safe storage of Bank securities
Manage organized and secure collateral protection with ease of recovery and manage the power room efficiently. - Manage the placement of all securities, retail & trade deliveries and physical delivery papers
- Maintain and manage securities database to ensure that all securities owned by the Bank are accurately captured and updated regularly
- Supervise the entry of security information on visitor sheets and ledgers to ensure that appropriate records are always in place and ensure that all security related documents are captured in the system and submitted.
b) Issuance and release - Managing and facilitating the implementation of guarantees from the Bank after receiving requests from business units/branches or customers to ensure that the bank’s interest is paid.
Managing the withdrawal of Bank securities and also managing the transfer of securities in and out i.
c) Focus
- Review the safety delivery process to ensure the highest standards in relation to procedure, and continuous improvement of processes and stakeholder engagement.
Completion of security documents in various government registries/authorities
d) Acquisition and Sale
Issuance of instructions to lawyers on taking
- Authorization of withdrawals within specified limits and managing the release of the same
Undertaking review to ensure that the bank’s interests are protected at all times
Manage pledge tracking to ensure payment is received within the specified time frame or return collateral.
Negotiation and review of commitments to issue specific guarantees e.g. facilitate the adjustment of titles; subdivisions, lease registration etc. while ensuring that the bank’s interest is protected.
Release lawyers and other financiers of their commitments once the bank terms are met.
e) Management of Internal and External Stakeholders
Manage internal and external customers to ensure that their requests are answered within the specified time frame.
Manage quarterly stakeholder engagement for process review and improvement.
Skills:
At least 2-3 years of experience in the banking Industry
QUALIFICATION:
University Degree in Law or other relevant academic qualifications. - Knowledge of the Loan process and documents
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong business acumen and first-class decision-making ability.
- Be a good relationship builder and strategic thinker instead of just doing the job.
