Project Summary: WWF International is leading the GBF project, aiming to accelerate the implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) through Community-Led Conservation in Tanzania, along with four other countries: Vietnam, Republic of Congo, Tunisia, and Papua New Guinea. The project aims to:

Ensure full and effective participation of indigenous peoples and local communities (IP&LCs) in developing/reviewing National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plans (NBSAPs).
Implement and monitor conservation activities at site and theme levels.
Advocate for new and additional funding for biodiversity through National Biodiversity Finance Programs (NBFPs).
Develop and leverage experiences and lessons learned to stimulate action and advocacy for ambitious and collaborative regional and international NBSAPs and NBFPs.
