World Vision Tanzania is seeking highly qualified, motivated, dedicated, and results-oriented Christian leaders/influencers to serve as Board members on a voluntary basis. Qualified candidates should represent appropriate diversity in experience, competence, age, gender, church affiliation, ethnicity, and geographic origin. Both men and women are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Heart of Compassion: A heart for the poor and a good steward of the World Vision Ministry in Tanzania.
- Leadership: A well-connected leader who is passionate about the World Vision and can leverage internal and external networks to gather the necessary resources and services to fulfill its mission.
- Christian Commitment: You must be a patient, humble, and devoted Christian who participates in the worship and life of the local church (Trinitarian denomination).
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in the English language (written and spoken).
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills including public speaking and presentation skills.
- Availability: Willing and available during tenure to participate in the Board and its committees on a voluntary basis.
- Thought Leadership: Ability to provide thought leadership on development issues and have a track record as a major contributor to poverty reduction and development outcomes.
- Policy Level Involvement: Prior involvement at the executive or board level in the public, private, or non-profit sectors where organizational outcomes contribute to positive social change.
- Industry Expertise: Demonstrated high level of expertise in one of the following industries:
