The main purpose of this role is to safely operate and maintain specified packaging equipment (Areas of the filling and labeling process that have a significant business impact with respect to cost and consumer quality) and related processes to achieve optimal efficiency.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Ensuring and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
  • Interpret and implement the change production plan
  • Use manual and automatic machines online according to standards
  • Monitor production processes in shifts and correct any negative trends
  • Ensure process quality and productivity
  • Full tracking and associated monitoring: Complete operator workstation management and take action as needed
  • Complete Team room management as needed
  • Contribute to self-development
  • Manage PIMS and POMS and take corrective action on negative trends
  • Use QFR (According to triggers)
  • Complete the 5 WHYs (As triggers) with relevant team members
  • Contribute to AB reports as required
  • Do independent activities

Electrical capacity
Strong problem solving skills with a “can do” attitude and the ability to collaborate in a team
Highly motivated, self-driven, and eager to learn new skills
Strong communication, interpersonal, time management and analytical skills
Strong computer skills
He should be fluent in English and Kiswahili, oral and written

Minimum requirements:

  1. Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field
  2. Training: Minutes – 9 months on the job training, SKAP completed
  3. Experience within the FMCG industry will be an added advantage
  4. Understanding of VPO principles
