Responsible for the testing, installation, calibration, maintenance and repair of dialysis machines, RO systems and other medical equipment used in AHN dialysis centers to ensure quality and efficiency of patient care.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facility Level Engineering
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot RO systems, dialysis machines, and other medical equipment used by the medical team
- Develop in-depth knowledge in the field of dialysis, especially the machines and various components required to build and maintain a dialysis machine.
- Understand various Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) around Nipro, Fresenius and Baxter/Gambro dialysis machines including differences between manufacturers
- Work closely with other medical professionals, such as doctors and nurses as well as end users (patients and their carers)
- Train technical or clinical staff on operation and maintenance of equipment
- Maintain equipment at its best performance by preparing a planned maintenance program for all equipment and dealing with explosions and emergency repairs.
- Ensure that any routine activities required within the facilities are carried out as required e.g.
loop disinfection - Review clinical reports from designated centers to ensure that all BME issues are addressed
- Carrying out inspection and repair of equipment/machines at the company site or at the hospital site
- Responding to reported issues based on TAT guidelines
- Think critically and solve complex engineering problems
- Assist with other engineering and technical problems as they arise, including installation and maintenance of IT equipment
- Liaise and maintain relationships with equipment manufacturers, suppliers and other stakeholders
Perform other engineer duties as assigned - Keeping a record of Spare parts/ consumables/ equipment history etc
- Reporting and other BME oversight
Coordinating the provision of information from the center level
Maintaining BME maintenance monitors
Coordinating a monthly survey at centersaa

Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, medical science, mechanical/electrical engineering or related
Know health and safety / quality standards
Excellent knowledge of MS Office Applications
Excellent problem solving skills
