The Private Contractor will be working in the General Services Section of the International Remaining System of Criminal Courts (IRMCT), Arusha Branch. The incumbent will work under the supervision of the Logistic Operations Officer to ensure the smooth functioning of the GSS unit by performing duties and responsibilities as required.

Duties and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be awarded the contract as an Individual Contractor. This position is subject to internal recruitment. Only applicants who are authorized to work at the duty station and currently live at the duty station or within commuting distance may apply for this position. Duties and Responsibilities:- Responsible for wallet dispatch documents, office mail distribution, incoming wallet, outgoing mail material and night express services. – Prepares IDs to identify destination, date, airline, and correct wallet numbers, summary of restrictions for each destination. – Estimates the number of wallets. Prepares daily bag log reflecting number of bags, weight, etc. for scheduled flight destinations and airlines. – Tracks all mail delivery and wallet service. – Ensures that all items received through the inbound wallet for inbound shipments, the outbound wallet, and the outbound mail units, are accurately recorded. – Marks valuables to be shipped via wallet and outbound mail unit, identifies and organizes items to be shipped by wallet, by mail or by contracted couriers. – Ensures timely delivery of e-mails. – Delivers by hand, sensitive and urgent letters to embassies, government ministries, United Nations Organizations and non-governmental organizations, etc. – Ensures timely distribution of meeting documents. – Receives all official, private and confidential letters and packages, sent to the United Nations System for the International Criminal Court, provides and maintains accurate records. – Receives certified mail, registered mail, e-mail, mail from a permanent mission, delivery of mail, and other personal mail; prepares the record sheet and sends it to the concerned offices. – Assists the unit manager in opening and inspecting items intended for shipment to ensure compliance with wallet and mail regulations. – Submitting and collecting travel documents to the Immigration office in Arusha. – Assisting IRMCT staff in registration with the Tanzania Revenue Authority and obtaining Tax Identification numbers. – Performs other ad hoc tasks as required.
Special qualities/skills
High school diploma or equivalent required. A valid type B license is required. Ability to drive different types of vehicles is desirable.
Language
English and French are the working languages ​​of Mechanism. For the advertised post, fluency in spoken and written English is required. Knowledge of Kiswahili is desirable.
Additional Information
Service Fee: IC will be paid monthly at a daily rate equal to TZS169,828.00 for Arusha, Tanzania.
