SoCha LLC is looking for a permanent and qualified person to fill the position of Head of Association (COP) for the upcoming USAID/Tanzania Capacity Building of Local Organizations. This multi-year activity aims to increase the capacity of local organizations in Tanzania, including USAID’s local partners, to strengthen their capacity to effectively and sustainably implement and manage services for development
The COP position will be full-time, based in Dar es Salaam and is award-based.
Scope of Work
The COP will serve as the project team leader. He will be responsible for the implementation and management of the project as a whole. He will:
- Provide strategic direction and project management oversight.
- Provide overall responsibility for all technical project activities including reporting, learning and dissemination activities, and other related tasks.
- Supervise and oversee the work of project staff, project contractors, and grantees.
- Serves as the main point of contact with USAID, implementing partners, host country officials, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including USAID representatives, local partners, government counterparts, and community members.
- Ensure quality control and overall responsiveness of all contract deliverables.
- Responsible for making important decisions and solving problems in the shortest possible time while ensuring the operation and integrity of the program.
- Ensure cost-effective management, identifying issues and risks related to contract management in a timely manner.
- Manage the financial resources of the activity in accordance with the project budget and USAID policies and regulations
