About the role
The Project Assistant will regularly communicate with the Tanzania Country Office and donors to provide information on project progress and advocate for policy changes that promote sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning and implementation of the International Trachoma Blindness
- Program for the activities of the International Trachoma Blindness Program in collaboration with regional and district teams.
- Support partners in identifying their capacity-building needs and facilitate delivery of assistance.
- Distribute information about Sightsavers and the Trachoma Program to partners.
- Review patient documentation for completeness and accuracy, resolving errors as necessary.
- Promote joint learning and collaboration between partners by facilitating networking and meetings.
- Assist project partners in preparing budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor project financial resources and communicate with the finance team as needed.
Ensure timely delivery of financial returns by partners. - Provide the program team with additional information, case studies, and relevant information.
- Representing the project in various forums and meetings, defending its goals and objectives.
