The exam periods for both Atu Sligo and Lyit will no doubt bring about a lot of stress for students, but by planning ahead, it doesn’t have to be so daunting. Sligo and Letterkenny Institute of Technology students have a lot to look forward to in 2023, as the universities have released their examination timetables for the start of the academic year. Sligo IT will be running exams from March to August and Letterkenny IT will be running exams from March to June.
Both universities have adjusted the length and scale of their exams following the pandemic, with an emphasis being placed on reducing student stress and providing exams which are to a satisfactory standard.
At Sligo IT, all exams will be held over two weeks in March, with the remainder of exams taking place in April and May. The Sligo IT timetable includes six end-of-semester exams and three midterm exams, which are to be held in July and August.
Letterkenny IT exams will be held in March, April and June. The application process for exams will start in mid-February and will close on 15 March. The examination timetable for Letterkenny IT entails six end-of-semester exams and three midterm exams, which will be held in April, May and June.
Sligo IT offers a comprehensive range of exams for students, including written and practical exams in the sciences, mathematics, the humanities and law. Letterkenny IT offers exams in a broad range of disciplines, such as business, engineering, information and communication technology and computer science.
