The Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Joyce Ndalichako, has announced the selection of students to join form five in government schools in Dar es salaam Region for the academic year 2023/2024.

The selection was based on the results of the 2020 Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (Csea) and other education criteria as established by the ministry.

A total of 36,000 students were selected for the admission of form five in the Dar es salaam region. This represents an increase of 5.4% from the 33,948 students that were admitted to form five last year.

The selection will take into account the performance of students in core subjects such as Mathematics and English, as well as the students’ conduct during the Csea exam and other tests during the selection process.

The ministry has expressed its commitment to ensure equity in the selection process and to recognize the diverse talents and potential of all students. The Minister urged the successful candidates to make the best use of the opportunity to excel in their studies and to become contributing members of society.

The full list of students who have been selected for admission to form five in the Dar es salaam region will be available on the ministry’s website. The students are expected to report to their respective schools in August 2023.
