Position: College Content Developer for Citizenship and Leadership Consultant

About Us:
JamiiForums in collaboration with Women in Law and Development in Africa (WiLDAF) and Her Initiative and under the support of the United States Government through USAID; implements the USAID Women Now project. The USAID Women Now project is a three-year initiative that focuses on the participation of women and girls in civic and political life, requiring an enabling environment from a multi-sectoral and multi-disciplinary perspective.
It is implemented in four regions of mainland Tanzania (Dar Es Salaam, Iringa, Arusha, and Mwanza) and Zanzibar (Unguja and Pemba). As we continue to grow we are looking for a dedicated Citizenship and Leadership Content Developer to work on the USAID Women Now project.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct a desk review to determine available online CLA content
- Assess the relevance of CLA’s online content to the country’s current political context and global trends on gender and politics.
- Learn about the USAID Women Now project and the expected results
- Prepare an initiation report summarizing the objectives, scope, and results of the assignment, as well as the organization and methodology of the assignment.
- Conduct a needs assessment to determine specific content for training and promotional materials
- Create audio and text training modules
- Create promotional materials
- Collaborate with project implementation partners and other relevant stakeholders
- Make revisions based on feedback from the validation meeting with experts and stakeholders.
Make sure all materials are accessible to a variety of audiences
REQUIREMENTS:
- It is legally recognized in Tanzania to do consulting work.
- At least 10 years of experience Master’s Degree in Political Science, Social Science, Law, Education, Sociology, Development Studies or related field.
- More than 10 years working in the field of human rights, gender and politics, democracy and development projects.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of more than 10 years in conducting gender and political analysis in the international scope and national context.
Proficiency in Kiswahili and English
