Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all areas of the hotel meet our high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, coordinating cleaning schedules, and maintaining inventory of supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train housekeeping staff to ensure adherence to hygiene standards and protocols.
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure they are clean and well maintained.
- Manage housekeeping schedules, assign tasks and ensure smooth work flow.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and enforce safety and hygiene standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
Diploma or better in Hospitality Management, or related field.
A minimum of 3-5 years in a management role in the hospitality industry.
Previous experience in food and beverage roles or event planning is an advantage.
Previous experience as a Housekeeping Manager or in a similar role in the hospitality industry is required.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.
Good communication skills in English.
Knowledge of using housekeeping management software and tools.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
A positive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional guest service.
