The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a South African government loan and bursary scheme that provides funding for students attending public universities and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges.

NSFAS is appealing to all returning students who will be returning to their studies in the 2023 academic year, to submit an early 2021 appeal. This includes all students starting first-time studies or continuing student who left their studies due to finance-related challenges.

The appeal for returning students in 2023 close on 30 June 2021. All appeals submitted after the closing date will unfortunately not be accepted.
