The West African Examination Council (WAEC) 2022
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) is a regional examination body which administers which administer examinations to citizens of its member countries. The member countries are Benin, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Senegal and Togo.
WAEC is responsible for conducting a common examination every year for these member countries known as West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). The examination held in May/June and November/December every year.

WAEC has also been a pioneer of technology in the region, with the introduction of its e-Learning program in January 2019, which provides access to learning resources which can be used by students during their preparation for the exams.
The registration process for the 2022 exams is now open and WAEC has made sure that even the most remote areas are covered. Centers equipped with computers and the necessary infrastructure will be established to ensure an equitable distribution of exam papers and results.
