The West African Examination Council (WAEC) is a regional examination body which administers which administer examinations to citizens of its member countries. The member countries are Benin, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Senegal and Togo.
WAEC is responsible for conducting a common examination every year for these member countries known as West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). The examination held in May/June and November/December every year.
